So the festival was amazing. After we carried the Mikoshi, they gave us free beer at what I’m guessing was the Toshima community center.

A bunch of folks from Sakura went, and after the official festivities were concluded, our hosts from the hotel took the group out  to karaoke. So: two frenchmen, two English women, the two Japanese girls from the hotel, and a Thai girl – we had an amazing time. And liquor is cheaper than beer, by the way.

We kept up with our hosts pretty easily, being generally larger than the average Japanese twenty-something girl, and are pleasantly intoxicated. Now Matt wants to find an arcade.

Sleep will come very easy when we finally get to it, lol. Good night, Japan.
